Cecile Steyn – More Than Just a Physiotherapist Cecile Steyn Physiotherapist in George in the Southern Cape Cecile Steyn knew from the age of 13 that she wanted to become a physiotherapist. After completing her training in Pretoria in 1979, she moved to George in the Southern Cape of South Africa. There she worked in the George Provincial Hospital for 8 years, gaining valuable experience in running a physiotherapy department on her own, attending to the physiotherapy needs of patients in every department and being involved with the training of student midwives. Masters Degree in Orthopedic Manual Therapy After more than twenty years in private practice, during which Cecile also gained a masters degree in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, Cecile’s passion for physiotherapy is even stronger now than when she first started. Her desire is to make a difference in people’s lives by relieving their pain, by helping them gain insight into their own role in the improvement of their health and by remaining an integral part of a mufti-disciplinary team in order to help address all facets of the patient’s problems.
